Paper-based telc Exams:
The exam booklets are sent to our
institution by telc via courier. The courier containing the exams is opened on
the day of the exam, and the exam question booklets and optical answer sheets
are distributed to the participants at the beginning of the written exam.
Pencils are used during the exam.
Following a short break after the
written exam, the participants take the oral exam on the same day. According to
the exam format, there is a preparation period for oral exams at levels B1
Jugendliche, B1, B2, C1, C1 Hochschule, and C2. During the preparation for oral
exams, participants are provided with a sealed blank sheet of paper by the telc
authorized institution so that they can take notes. Participants, under the
supervision of an invigilator, spend 20 minutes with their partners in the oral
preparation room preparing for their oral exams without speaking. At the end of
the oral preparation period, participants are taken to the oral exam room and
participate in a face-to-face oral exam with two Telc examiners.
There is no oral preparation period
for A1 and A2 levels. Following the completion of the written exam,
participants take a short break and then participate in a face-to-face oral
exam with two Telc examiners on the same day.
After the paper-based exams are
completed, they are sent by courier to the telc center in Germany for
evaluation. Exam results are announced within 4-6 weeks following the exam
date.
Digital telc Exams:
The exams are entirely digital, and
participants complete the entire exam on a computer. Therefore, there are
computers allocated to each participant in the exam hall. To initiate the
exams, the telc center sends a digital exam code to the telc authorized institution
conducting the exam, and the exam starts when participants enter the digital
exam code into the telc system at the specified time.
In digital exams, unlike paper-based
exams, participants are only allowed to use the computer keyboard. Transitions
between written exam sections are only possible once the allocated time for
each section is completed. After the written exam, participants take a short
break and then proceed to the oral exam on the same day. According to the exam
format, there is a preparation period for oral exams at levels B1 Jugendliche,
B1, B2, C1, C1 Hochschule, and C2. For oral exams requiring preparation,
participants are provided with a sealed blank sheet of paper by the telc
authorized institution so they can take notes during preparation. Participants,
under the supervision of an invigilator, spend 20 minutes with their partners
in the oral preparation room preparing for their oral exams without speaking.
At the end of the oral preparation period, participants are taken to the oral
exam room and conduct their oral exams online with two telc examiners using the
computer assigned to them. In the oral section of digital exams, telc examiners
and participants are not physically present in the same location.
There is no oral preparation period
for A1 and A2 levels. After the completion of the written exam, participants
are taken to the oral exam room, where they conduct their oral exams online
with two telc examiners using the computer assigned to them.
All digital exams are digitally recorded by the telc system used during the exam and automatically transferred to the telc center. Exam results are announced within 2 weeks following the exam date.
