EnglishAs is well known, foreign students have to demonstrate sufficient language skills for admission to German universities. In this context, the telc C1 Hochschule exam has been recognised as valid for most German universities since 12.02.2016 according to the decision of the Rectorates of the universities and the Ministry of Education and according to Article 8 of the RO - DT. The holder of this certificate is considered to have proven his/her language ability.

What is the structure of the exam?
The exam consists of two parts: written and oral. The written part lasts 3 hours and 10 minutes. You have 20 minutes preparation time before the oral exam. The oral exam can be held on the same day as the written exam or on another day.
How can I prepare for the exam?
You can acquire your language skills in language courses or through self-study. You can find textbooks in bookshops that will prepare you for Level C1 in a planned and programmed way.

Where can I take the telc exam?
There are over 2,000 telc test centres in 24 countries. Please note that some test centres do not offer the complete telc programme.
How long does it take to receive my telc certificate?
80% of certificates are sent to the examination centres within an estimated 8 weeks after all documents have arrived at the telc centre in Frankfurt. The test centre will deliver your certificate to you.
Can I repeat the exam?
You can repeat the exam as many times as you wish. If you fail only the oral exam or only the written exam, you do not have to repeat the entire exam. You can retake the exam within one year only for the part you failed.
When can I register for the exam?
For registration dates, please contact DAS Akademie, the telc Authorised Testing Centre in Turkey. Please note that the test centre has to contact telc 30 days in advance to schedule the exam.
