Englishtelc gGmbh, which stands for "The European Language Certificates" and is headquartered in Frankfurt Bad Homburg, is authorised to issue foreign language certificates in 11 different languages. telc works in cooperation with the German Public Education Association (Deutsch - Volkshochschule-Verband), a public institution. As a member of the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE), telc also prepares its exams in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
